 8,000 UK Troops Sent To Massive Eastern Europe Joint Exercises 

Britain is taking part in one of the largest post-Cold War joint deployments alongside NATO and Joint Expeditionary Force military in countries from Finland to North Macedonia.

Dozens of tanks will also be sent to what the UK insists were long-standing plans that only been ramped up in a “show of solidarity” with Ukraine.

The deployment comes after Foreign Secretary Liz Truss urged Western allies to “double down” on military supplies to Kiev, despite admitting some think they “shouldn’t provide heavy weapons for fear of provoking something worse."

 Binance Blocks Relatives of Kremlin Officials

Several accounts linked to relatives of senior Kremlin officials have been closed in response to intl sanctions over the Ukraine conflict.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange says the stepdaughter of FM Lavrov, and the daughter of Kremlin Spox Peskov were among those shuttered from making any transactions.

Binance says it is conducting more checks to find those potentially sanctioned using the service.

 Russia Offers Dual-Payment Scheme To India

Moscow has offered a dual payment plan to India whereby New Delhi will be allowed to pay for Russian oil in USD or Euros, while using a rupee-ruble mechanism for other trade.

Russian Central Bank and Sberbank representatives met with their Indian counterparts to discuss the plan last week - with no decision formally announced yet.

India currently has a reported $5.5BN trade deficit with Russia, including $3BN in oil and petroleum products.

 Russia makes sovereign bond payments

Russia has finally managed to make dollar payments on two foreign bonds after sanctions introduced on the country’s financial system over its offensive in Ukraine had been holding transactions up for weeks.

The country settled the $564.8 million payment on a 2022 Eurobond and $84.4 million payment on a 2042 bond, Russia’s Finance Ministry said in a statement, adding that Moscow sent dollars to the paying agent, the London branch of Citibank N.A.

Russia’s Federal Security Service (the successor of the KGB) has declassified documents from the case file of Adolf Hitler’s personal pilot on Friday, revealing details of the final hours of the Nazi dictator. Hitler committed suicide on April 30, 1945, just days before Soviet troops captured Berlin, effectively ending World War II in Europe. His body had been doused with gasoline and burned.
