 Kinzinger Pushes ‘Red Line” Resolution to Deploy US Troops in Ukraine

Illinois lawmaker Rep. Adam Kinzinger announced Sunday that he has introduced a resolution authorizing military force should Russia deploy “chemical, biological and/or nuclear weapons” in Ukraine.

Kinzinger - a Republican who aligns with Democrats on most issues - has continuously pushed for US involvement in the ongoing conflict, and previously backed measures that critics and President Biden said would lead to a “third world war.”

It is currently unclear if and when Kinzinger’s resolution will be brought to a vote. Biden himself has said that the US “would respond” to any use of weapons of mass destruction by Russian forces in Ukraine but has avoided drawing any binding ‘red lines.’

 Turkey reveals its position on NATO defense

NATO has “no intention” of intervening in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, according to Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu – but he vowed Sunday that his country would respond to any attack on a NATO ally.

Russian FM Sergey Lavrov has accused NATO of “essentially going to war with Russia,” while Vladimir Putin warned outside players against intervening in the conflict last week, threatening to unleash a “swift, lightning-fast” response should Russia’s security be put at risk.

Turkey has sought to maintain relations with both the bloc and Moscow since Russia’s operation in Ukraine began in February. It has sold its domestically-produced Bayraktar drones to Ukraine but has refused to impose sanctions on Russia.

 Ukraine Admits 'Ghost of Kiev' a Bogus "MYTH" 

The legend of the ghost pilot that shot down multiple Russian fighter jets - prepare for the shock and horror - was completely false.

 “The Ghost of Kiev is a superhero-legend, whose character was created by Ukrainians!” Ukraine’s Air Force Command wrote on Facebook.

Despite being called out as fake already (linked to foreign orchestrated PR campaigns), a number of outlets gave the title to a man who died on March 13, and was posthumously awarded hero status in Ukraine. The FB statement added he was not the "Ghost."

It's believed no pilot in the 21st century has ever shot down five or more enemy jets - while the ghost pilot claims had the number at six Russian planes. 

In February, the official Ukraine national handle tweeted: "People call him the Ghost of Kyiv. And rightly so—this UAF ace dominates the skies over our capital and country, and has already become a nightmare for invading Russian aircrafts."

 Hungarian PM Added to Ukraine’s ‘Enemies List’

 

Viktor Orban has been labeled an “accomplice of Russian war criminals” and added to a notorious online database which pro-Kiev activists use to blacklist people they consider enemies of the state.

The Mirotvorets (‘Peacemaker’) website was created in 2014 as a public database of “pro-Russian terrorists, separatists, mercenaries, war criminals, and murderers.” It contains links to social media accounts and personal information, such as home addresses, phones, and emails.

Orban is listed as “an accomplice of Russian war criminals,” and an “anti-Ukrainian propagandist.” The website mentioned that the Hungarian PM refused to back an embargo on Russian oil and gas, among other things. He also broke ranks in the EU by refusing to send weapons to Ukraine, or to allow the transit of foreign weapons through his country.
