At least two dolphin pens were moved to the Russian naval base in Sevastopol, Crimea, according to satellite imagery analysis by the US Naval Institute.
Russia and Ukraine do indeed have a tradition of training dolphins for military purposes, such as retrieving objects or deterring enemy divers.
Furthermore, during the Cold War, both the Soviet Union and the US had a scheme to use dolphins’ echolocation capabilities in order to detect mines.

Biden Begs Congress To Sanction $33bn MORE in Ukraine Aid
President Biden has appealed to Congress for another massive $33bn tranche of aid for Ukraine in a fight he admits “is not cheap”, but says “caving to aggression is going to be more costly if we allow it to happen”.
In a speech to lawmakers he also appealed for all parties to stop threatening nuclear weapons, insisting the US still doesn’t plan to send troops to Ukraine but will continue to supply weapons.
“We have to do this… lead the line,” he added, while denying the situation has turned into a proxy conflict between Russia and NATO.

Moldova acknowledges no alternative to Russian gas
"We can’t give up on gas when we have no other alternative," Moldova's President Maia Sandu said
Wednesday - expressing hope that deliveries by Gazprom will continue despite an unsettled debt.
Moldova has launched a tender to find other supplies, but the results have been ‘unsatisfactory’ as all other tenders are "too expensive."
Moldova’s contract with Gazprom expires on May 1. In order for it to be prolonged, the country needs to complete an audit of its huge debt, but it appears unlikely that the country will meet the deadline.

Gazprom Posts Record Annual Income In 2021
Europe’s worst energy crunch in decades spurred Gazprom to its highest-ever reported earnings last year as the Russian supplier met all contractual obligations amid Europe’s crisis.
AFP reported profits of $29.9bn, while deputy CEO Famil Sadygov claimed the company was on track to offer dividends at over three times the previous record high.
Gazprom’s shares leapt as much as 5% in Moscow trading.

Poland still buying Russian gas – Gazprom
Poland continues to buy Russian natural gas from Germany via reverse flows, after its direct supplies were suspended due to non-payment in rubles, Russia’s energy giant Gazprom has said.
Gazprom announced a complete halt of gas exports to Poland Wednesday in line with a new payment mechanism launched earlier this month. According to Gazprom, supplies will not resume until Warsaw complies with the new terms. Deliveries to Bulgaria were also halted, for the same reason.
Poland raised its bid for reverse gas supplies from Germany fivefold Wednesday, data from the German operator of the gas transmission network Gascade showed.
