 ❗Russia's MoD says Mariupol trade port completely liberated from Azov nationalists

The Defense Ministry warned if Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory continue, their armed forces WILL strike at decision-making centers, including in Kiev - something the Russian army has refrained from doing so far.

MoD briefing also stated:

▪️Mariupol trade port completely liberated from “Azov” nationalist militants; all hostages rescued

▪️Remaining Ukrainian army & militant units in the city are blocked down and have been left no opportunity to break out

▪️36 enemy targets destroyed, including 5 strongholds of 24th separate mechanized brigade in areas of Popasnaya and Barvenkovo, and command post of 15th separate Ukrainian National Guard regiment in Cherkasy.

 US announces additional $800mn in weapons aid to Ukraine

The package will include helicopters, artillery systems and APCs.

“The Ukrainian military has used the weapons we are providing to devastating effect. As Russia prepares to intensify its attack in the Donbas region, the United States will continue to provide Ukraine with the capabilities to defend itself,” Biden said. 

The total military aid provided to Kiev has now reached some $2.4 billion.

 Pentagon & Military Industrial Complex to Hold Ukraine Meeting

Top Pentagon officials are going to meet with executives of the eight largest US defense contractors to discuss the figures of supplying weapons to Ukraine, should the Russian military operation in the country last for years.

“We will discuss industry proposals to accelerate production of existing systems and develop new, modernized capabilities critical to the Department’s ongoing security assistance to Ukraine and long-term readiness of US and ally/partner forces,” said Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks.

The classified roundtable will be held on Wednesday.

President Putin has told oil and gas industry representatives that preparing the foreign market to trade in local currencies was a "strategic task", adding that:

◾️Attempts by Western countries to oust Russian energy suppliers will inevitably affect the entire global economy

◾️Banks from "unfriendly countries" are delaying payments for Russian energy
