Oil Production Recovering – Russia

Production of crude oil is on the rise again in Russia in May, after having fallen last month due to Western sanctions, Dep. PM Alexander Novak said Monday.

A number of new customers have started buying oil from Russia, Novak told journalists, saying that exports have actually risen to some destinations, especially in the Asia-Pacific region.

Moscow is currently looking at developing new infrastructure projects to diversify its oil deliveries, such as an expansion of a pipeline to China and construction of new ports.

India Reaps Export Boom as Europe and US Search for Fuel to Replace Russia – reports

India shipped out gasoline and diesel at near-record volumes in March, despite being the world’s third-largest oil consumer, as the country took advantage of high profit margins in selling the fuels abroad.

Gasoline exports reached a five-year high of 1.6mn tons, while 3.37mn tons of diesel were exported in March, the highest since April 2020, when overseas sales were a record 3.4mn tons as local demand plummeted due to Covid curbs. (Bloomberg)

Western sanctions on Russia have seen profit margins on diesel and gasoline surge, with Indian refineries reportedly capitalizing on the demand by deferring maintenance to produce more diesel and gasoline.

Sweden’s Ruling Party to Reveal its Stance on NATO

The decision is expected to be announced on May 15, three days after a similar move by Finland, Social Democrats’ Secretary-General Tobias Baudin said.

Amid the ongoing Russian military offensive in Ukraine, both countries have seen a dramatic change in public opinion with the majority of the population now supporting joining the US-led bloc, according to polls.

This has prompted authorities in both countries to reconsider their longstanding non-alignment policy, and Moscow to warn it would trigger a rethink in northern Europe.

Elon Musk Warns He ‘Could Die Under Mysterious Circumstances’

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO told his followers on Twitter Monday that should he die “under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin ya.”

Shortly afterwards Musk shared a post written by Russia’s former dep. PM and current space agency chief Dmitry Rogozin, which said the Tesla tycoon will be held “accountable” for providing Starlink internet terminals to “Nazi” militants in the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol via the Pentagon.

However, Musk’s American followers joked that the billionaire must have “dirt on the Clintons,” a reference to the mysterious deaths of people in some way connected to Bill and Hillary Clinton, such as the 1993 suicide of WH Dep Counsel Vince Foster, the fatal armed robbery of Dem staffer Seth Rich in 2016, and the death of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, which was officially ruled a suicide.
